I’ve been working on a birthday/cake smash session from this past weekend. I keep coming back to this photo taken at the very end while cleaning up some of that delicious icing that managed to creep itself onto all parts of her little body.

I don’t know what it is about this photo that I love more. The newfound independence of her grabbing the water and rinsing her own self off, or her mommy’s arms holding her tight while at the same time giving her the littlest room to do it herself. It just makes me happy and I wanted to share it quickly for you. I’ll post the rest this weekend.
